BIG news

We are pregnant!  I am 6 weeks and 5 days!  Feeling all the wonderful : ( symptoms.  Every time I ask Brie if she wants to have a baby that we can keep she says “no” : )  Go figure.  Our due date is 10/11/12!  We are so excited!  We have an appointment on March 15, hoping to see the baby on ultrasound.  For now we are praying for a healthy little baby and healthy pregnancy for me!

Happy 19th Month!

Brielle,

You are now 19+months old!  You are such a little person now; opinions, ideas and this amazing personality.  You are so loved by your family and  you bring us such joy!

Clothes:

You wear size 2T and size 5 shoes.  You now like to decide what you want to wear.  Usually its your turtle shirt or your monkey shirt that Aunt Lin got you.  You like to try to dress yourself.  YOur pretty good at putting on your shoes but need some help with your pants as you are always putting both legs through one hole ; )

Vocabulary:

You talk a lot…YOu are putting two and three words together now.  You will say things like “Bri Bri go byebye”, “Bri Bri eat”.  “Where Go?”  “Whats that?”  “no no no nooooo”  <-your fave!  “help followed by the “please sign””

Eating:

Your appetite depends on your mood.  Some days you eat great others you don’t have time to stop.  On those days you do better when we feed you.

Potty Learning:

You are doing fantastic!  You use the bathroom 6-7 times a day.  You have pooed in the potty a few times as well.  It helps that your motivated by “treats” .

New House:

You love the new house.  We are waiting to get the backyard fenced but you love playing out back with your babies and the pups.  We also got a new puppy Baby Dre, she loves you and you love her most of the time.  Unless she is eating your doll then you get so mad.  Its pretty cute.

Sleeping:

You still sleep in our room.  Most nights you fall asleep in our bed and  I put you in  yours at some point in the night you crawl back into ours : )  Daddy is very ready for you to sleep in your own room, mamma is not : )

In all you are an amazing little girl!  You are growing so quickly and are so smart.  I thank God everyday for blessing me with you.

Love,

Mommy

16 months

Breezy Brie,

You are on the cusp of your 16 month birthday. You are the most amazing little girl. I can’t get enough of you. So here are some fun facts:

Clothes:

Size 24-2T, Size 5 shoes ; ) You are on the biggest setting for your diapers. Speaking of clothes you are trying to “dress” yourself these days. As well as “undress” yourself. If you have on the velcro diapers (as opposed to the snaps) and nothing over top, there is a good chance we will find you prancing around naked. Good thing I love you cute baby butt!

Language:

You are talking like crazy. It so cute, right now when someone ask what you are doing you are likely to respond with “play-ing”. You mimic most words when asked however you don’t like to perform “party tricks” by this I mean you usually won’t say something when I ask you to in order to show off how sticking cute/smart/adorable you are. Go figure! You also say “ewww” a lot. It’s so cute. Oh and you recently started to say “three” after we count one, two….

Toys:

You are very into your little babies right now. You wrap them up in wash cloths and walk around the house playing with them. Only to at some point throw or chew on them but it’s still really cute.

Activity:

You are extremely active. You could go all day long without stopping and even when you’re sitting it’s not for long. You are still taking a decent nap..Thank God! You dance, CLIMB, jump, dance some more, climb on EVERYTHING and run all over. I’m pretty sure we will have some er visit before long with your fearless climbing adventures.

Food:

You eat almost everything. The list of what yo don’t eat is pretty limited. You really don’t love salad which we discovered last night. You recently tried artichoke hearts and loved them…pretty rare for a toddler. You love your “coookiez”.

Potty Learning:

We are trying to regularly practice our potty routine. You have successfully used the potty twice!!!!! When I have to go we go together. I think we are getting close but I will wait for you to show me that you are ready.

Routines:

We are getting some routines down. Brushing your teeth in the morning and at night. You know exactly what to do and love it, that is until I “rebrush” your teeth to make sure they are clean. I think you mostly enjoy just playing in the water but hey you are a toddler.

Mommy’s Helper:

You help mommy unload/ load the dishes, put laundry in the dryer, fold (mostly unfold) laundry, wash dishes (play in the water), feed the doggies, feed the turtle…your a pretty amazing kid!

Changes:

Recently you haven’t been as “kissy”, I knew it was a stage but gosh I miss all your random kisses. You still are very lovable. ON a sad note we discovered that you are allergic to fire ants and almost had an anaphylactic shock because of a bite on your toe. I will post a separate blog about this horrible incident. Nonetheless, I’ve been looking into bubble balls for you to live in : )

Brielle, I love you so much, no words could ever really express the love I have for you. The other day I was thinking about how one day you will have to go out and live your life and I won’t be there everyday and it made me really sad. Sad for myself. You are part of me. We are connected, very much like an invisible umbilical cord. The thing is I need you as much as you need me. But I know one day that will change and you won’t need me as much. I will still need you. However, I pray everyday that your father and I can raise you to be a Godly, smart, wonderful person and that you may be blessed with a happy, healthy, prosperous, long life. So for now I will keep enjoying every second I have with you.

Love,
MOmma

ATL…

We are traveling this weekend to ATL, one of my favorite cities. Its going to be a long car ride with the little one but I have plans on making it as smooth as possible. We are planning to leave in the early part of the evening on Friday. I am hoping that I can persuade Brie to wait and take her nap on the way not in the afternoon like she usually does. So to keep her busy I am planning on brining the following:

*iPad- at least 13 episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba
*Color wonder markers and paper
*A lap desk
*Snacks galore
*A new toy that might keep her occupied, not sure what just hoping to find something at Target that looks like it will be entertaining.

While in ATL we plan on going to a couple of baseball games and visiting the city. We are driving back Sunday after the game and hopefully will have a nice sleepy trip home ; )

Wish us luck!

15 months oh my!

Brie Brie,

Time is flying by and each day you amaze me more and more with how AMAZING you are. Not that I ever doubted how amazing you were but wow I never expected the amount of love that I feel for you. You make my sun shine : )

Fun facts about you at 15 months:

Food: Yummy, you eat amazing for a toddler, I’ve heard horror stories of picky toddlers who will not eat anything. I keep waiting on you to get “picky” but you haven’t yet. You chow down on everything. I think your favorites are still banana, strawberries, cheese, deli meat and chick’n nuggets (fake chicken). The list of things you don’t like is super short. Your not crazy about…I really can’t think of anything that you really don’t like : )

Language: You are talking so well. You mimic many words that we say to you. You still have not put many words together but you will get there. Your vocabulary is pretty large. You are a pro at signing “more” and last night you started to sign “please”. Funny story last night you wanted to drink from my water bottle but after I let you, you then spilt the last sip all over my shirt. So I took it away. You started signing and saying “more” and then started signing “more please” and when I wouldn’t give the other water bottle to you, you got so mad. I think you thought that if you signed “more please” you would get whatever you wanted.

Monkey baby: YOur part monkey, I’m convinced. If your not climbing, your dancing, jumping, running, spinning in circles, walking backwards, using Sharaz as a stool…point being you don’t stop.

Growth spurt: YOu recently went through a pretty big growth spurt, which means…more cloths and shoes. YOu are now in 24months/2T and size 5 shoes. Gosh kid slow down…I keep saying I’m going to stop feeding you daily and start an everyother day routine ; )

Personality: YOu are the sweetest, most affectionate little lady in the world. You give me kisses all the time. I LOVE them. One day you will not pull my face to yours and kiss it so for now I will charrish those sweet kisses. I love you so much!!!!!

Whats going on in our world: At home daddy is busy getting ready for his promotion to his own store. He will be GM of a brand new store. He is excited and anxious. I am sure this will be hard on us as he will be living there pretty much non-stop for the first couple weeks. Boo! I am so happy for him though. Grandma lost her job, so she is bummed but she is a great person so she will find another one soon. Tomorrow we are going to put Primo to sleep. She bit mommy and made my finger bleed. We can’t chance it with you. You love her and she hates you. We believe that she is in pain and uncomfortable and that is why she is so mean. I know this will be extremely hard on Daddy. On a happy note we are going to ATL next weekend. This is one of my favorite cities! We are going to watch your first baseball game. The Cubs vs. the braves. WE are also meeting up with Uncle Danny and Aunt Holly!!!!! We are also going with Uncle Keith, Aunt Kourtney, Uncle Willie and the twins ; ) It should be tons of fun. In the world most recently the government decided that they could extend the debt ceiling so that they wouldn’t default on their bill’s. I think this is probably a bad situation but hey if your already trillions in debt what a few more?

There is really no way that I could explain in words just how amazing you are. I just keep thinking God everyday for letting me spend every moment that I get to spend with you!

Love forever,

Mommy

14 months, what?

Brie (fyi your daddy hates when I call you that),

Holy batman, your 14 months old! Stop it, just when I thought time couldn’t pass any quicker it does. You are the most amazing little monkey monster in the world! You have changed a lot lately. So here are some fun facts about you at 14 months old:

clothes:
You wear size 18-24 months, although 18 is getting a little snug ; ) You now are in size 4 shoes. Speaking of clothes you like to try and dress yourself. Often times you find shirts that belong to mommy and put them over your head and walk around looking so freaking cute. The other day I watched as you tried to put your own shoes on, although it was unsuccessful, it just shows how smart you are. Speaking of shoes, you love them! You love wearing yours and also bring mine to me and putting them on my feet. I think its because you always want to go outside? You also try to put Daddies on.

People:
You love Daddy and I the most ever! You cover us with kisses all the time. You adore your grandmother very much.

Pets:
You love and love to death your pets. You love your Sharaz but also use her as a ride/bounce toy. Which she really doesn’t care, she is really a great dog. As for Emily you love to sit on her the only problem she is like 12bls, so I am constantly telling you to be nice and not to sit on her, usually you smile and laugh and do it again….The cats tail….I think your trying to remove them. You seriously try to drag them around by their poor tails. You have received time out for this behavior. In our house we love our animals and its important that you learn to love and be nice to them as well.

Toys: You are playing more and more with your toys by yourself. Aunt Lin bought you some cardboard “abc’s” and you love them. I attached velcro to the back and stuck them to the wall and now you pick them off and bring them to us…super cute. You also love you baby, you carry her around and talk to her in babble. You are starting to pretend now. In the shower the other day you were taking you bath toys and making them kiss. Oh you also love your Leap Frog animal magnet song fridge toy. You dance the cutest dances and are constantly playing with it.

What your doing:
Its more like what your not doing. You dance, walk backwards, spin in circles, climb, talk, kiss, get in trouble, perform simple tasks (shut the door, help feed the dogs, clean up) Your really making great strides in the area of swimming. You kick really well, you float with your head supported, you can now climb out of the pool on the side by yourself, you jump in, you can go under and hold your breath. Your so amazing ; )

Food:
You love your milk but mostly in a bottle, you still love berries and avacado. YOu love cheese and deli meat, black olives, pickles, red cabbage, shrimp, the list goes forever!
