We are traveling this weekend to ATL, one of my favorite cities. Its going to be a long car ride with the little one but I have plans on making it as smooth as possible. We are planning to leave in the early part of the evening on Friday. I am hoping that I can persuade Brie to wait and take her nap on the way not in the afternoon like she usually does. So to keep her busy I am planning on brining the following:

*iPad- at least 13 episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba
*Color wonder markers and paper
*A lap desk
*Snacks galore
*A new toy that might keep her occupied, not sure what just hoping to find something at Target that looks like it will be entertaining.

While in ATL we plan on going to a couple of baseball games and visiting the city. We are driving back Sunday after the game and hopefully will have a nice sleepy trip home ; )

Wish us luck!

15 months oh my!

Brie Brie,

Time is flying by and each day you amaze me more and more with how AMAZING you are. Not that I ever doubted how amazing you were but wow I never expected the amount of love that I feel for you. You make my sun shine : )

Fun facts about you at 15 months:

Food: Yummy, you eat amazing for a toddler, I’ve heard horror stories of picky toddlers who will not eat anything. I keep waiting on you to get “picky” but you haven’t yet. You chow down on everything. I think your favorites are still banana, strawberries, cheese, deli meat and chick’n nuggets (fake chicken). The list of things you don’t like is super short. Your not crazy about…I really can’t think of anything that you really don’t like : )

Language: You are talking so well. You mimic many words that we say to you. You still have not put many words together but you will get there. Your vocabulary is pretty large. You are a pro at signing “more” and last night you started to sign “please”. Funny story last night you wanted to drink from my water bottle but after I let you, you then spilt the last sip all over my shirt. So I took it away. You started signing and saying “more” and then started signing “more please” and when I wouldn’t give the other water bottle to you, you got so mad. I think you thought that if you signed “more please” you would get whatever you wanted.

Monkey baby: YOur part monkey, I’m convinced. If your not climbing, your dancing, jumping, running, spinning in circles, walking backwards, using Sharaz as a stool…point being you don’t stop.

Growth spurt: YOu recently went through a pretty big growth spurt, which means…more cloths and shoes. YOu are now in 24months/2T and size 5 shoes. Gosh kid slow down…I keep saying I’m going to stop feeding you daily and start an everyother day routine ; )

Personality: YOu are the sweetest, most affectionate little lady in the world. You give me kisses all the time. I LOVE them. One day you will not pull my face to yours and kiss it so for now I will charrish those sweet kisses. I love you so much!!!!!

Whats going on in our world: At home daddy is busy getting ready for his promotion to his own store. He will be GM of a brand new store. He is excited and anxious. I am sure this will be hard on us as he will be living there pretty much non-stop for the first couple weeks. Boo! I am so happy for him though. Grandma lost her job, so she is bummed but she is a great person so she will find another one soon. Tomorrow we are going to put Primo to sleep. She bit mommy and made my finger bleed. We can’t chance it with you. You love her and she hates you. We believe that she is in pain and uncomfortable and that is why she is so mean. I know this will be extremely hard on Daddy. On a happy note we are going to ATL next weekend. This is one of my favorite cities! We are going to watch your first baseball game. The Cubs vs. the braves. WE are also meeting up with Uncle Danny and Aunt Holly!!!!! We are also going with Uncle Keith, Aunt Kourtney, Uncle Willie and the twins ; ) It should be tons of fun. In the world most recently the government decided that they could extend the debt ceiling so that they wouldn’t default on their bill’s. I think this is probably a bad situation but hey if your already trillions in debt what a few more?

There is really no way that I could explain in words just how amazing you are. I just keep thinking God everyday for letting me spend every moment that I get to spend with you!

Love forever,

trying again!

So the husband and I are and have been trying for the last couple months to have our second little blessing. All this TTC has me thinking about what I would like to have with the next one. So some of the things that I would like to get for this one that I didn’t have for Brie are as follows:

1)Newborn cloth diaper covers, probably used G-baby bundle for newborns

2) Arm’s reach mini co-sleeper bassinet

3) Motherlove Organic Nipple Cream

4) Cloth nursing pads

5) Earth Mama Booby Tubes

6) A ring sling

7) Green Goop Nipple Cream

8) A double stroller

So along with everything else that I already have, pretty sure this will complete the List ; )

14 months, what?

Brie (fyi your daddy hates when I call you that),

Holy batman, your 14 months old! Stop it, just when I thought time couldn’t pass any quicker it does. You are the most amazing little monkey monster in the world! You have changed a lot lately. So here are some fun facts about you at 14 months old:

You wear size 18-24 months, although 18 is getting a little snug ; ) You now are in size 4 shoes. Speaking of clothes you like to try and dress yourself. Often times you find shirts that belong to mommy and put them over your head and walk around looking so freaking cute. The other day I watched as you tried to put your own shoes on, although it was unsuccessful, it just shows how smart you are. Speaking of shoes, you love them! You love wearing yours and also bring mine to me and putting them on my feet. I think its because you always want to go outside? You also try to put Daddies on.

You love Daddy and I the most ever! You cover us with kisses all the time. You adore your grandmother very much.

You love and love to death your pets. You love your Sharaz but also use her as a ride/bounce toy. Which she really doesn’t care, she is really a great dog. As for Emily you love to sit on her the only problem she is like 12bls, so I am constantly telling you to be nice and not to sit on her, usually you smile and laugh and do it again….The cats tail….I think your trying to remove them. You seriously try to drag them around by their poor tails. You have received time out for this behavior. In our house we love our animals and its important that you learn to love and be nice to them as well.

Toys: You are playing more and more with your toys by yourself. Aunt Lin bought you some cardboard “abc’s” and you love them. I attached velcro to the back and stuck them to the wall and now you pick them off and bring them to us…super cute. You also love you baby, you carry her around and talk to her in babble. You are starting to pretend now. In the shower the other day you were taking you bath toys and making them kiss. Oh you also love your Leap Frog animal magnet song fridge toy. You dance the cutest dances and are constantly playing with it.

What your doing:
Its more like what your not doing. You dance, walk backwards, spin in circles, climb, talk, kiss, get in trouble, perform simple tasks (shut the door, help feed the dogs, clean up) Your really making great strides in the area of swimming. You kick really well, you float with your head supported, you can now climb out of the pool on the side by yourself, you jump in, you can go under and hold your breath. Your so amazing ; )

You love your milk but mostly in a bottle, you still love berries and avacado. YOu love cheese and deli meat, black olives, pickles, red cabbage, shrimp, the list goes forever!

13 months!

Stop it already, your getting way too big way too fast. I can not believe you are now 13 months old. Life has been pretty amazing for us Goodenbury Girls. Daddy has been the most amazing man ever. Its like his eyes have been opened to your beauitful splendid light. We have had so much fun as a family this month. We went to Seaworld on Memorial Day and had a blast. You loved the fish tanks and were a little scared of the dophines when we fed them. Daddy is finding a renter to take over the lease on the Lake Mary home so that we can moved in together at the Sanford home. It will be so nice to have us together as a family.

Some fun facts about you at 13 months:

I stopped breastfeeding you this last month. You have had a little trouble dealing with it but your adjusting. You have taken well to milk, almost a little to well, you have decreased your intake of food slightly but your still a very good eater.

You still only have 4 teeth, I’m pretty sure that your not getting any other any time soon. I checked with your pediatrician and they are not worried so we will just deal with what we got.

Your favorite foods are still black beans, avacado and strawberries. You eat a lot of other foods as well. You recently have started to really love gatorade. NOt my fav choice of drinks but some fights are not worth having, so your allowed one cup/day of the non-food coloring clear wild berry.

You have moved up to size 4 shoes and are wearing 18months cloths. You are still being cloth diapered, we have slowly transitioned to just Flip diaper covers and inserts as those are the only ones that don’t leak ; )

I cut your bangs this month. I try and put your hair up all the time but sometimes when your in a “mood” you take it down and I can NOT stand it in your eyes so I trimmed you bangs and you look super cute.

Your vocabulary is always expanding. Potty, duck, cup are some of your new words.

You constantly are and have bruises everywhere. Your always running into something or falling. Bubble wrap has crossed my mind.

You still LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba, I think that we have watched EVERY episode and I know all the words. I love being your mom!

Speaking of MOm, you just recently started yelling MaMaMa and I follow back with BRIBRibri. Its pretty cute.

I read an article that said you can pretty much determine your child’s future personality by 6 months and not to brag but you are going to be one of the coolest people ever! Your a spitfire, bossy, lovable, smart and beautiful person already. This world is very blessed.

I love you so much baby girl, Happy 13 months!

My toddler : )

You had an amazing birthday! You only picked at your cake but you loved all the awesome presents that everyone got for you! We had your 1 yr check-up on May 2nd, you weighed 19lb 8 oz, which is 25% and 30in tall, which is 75%. Some other fun stuff going on is that your daddy and I are trying to work out our differences. Praying that it all works out ; ) I love you baby girl.

Fun Facts:

You favorite people right now are Me, Aunt Jamie, Daddy, Nicholas, Victoria and Grandma (in that order).

You love to breastfeed, I thought you were going to wean but nope. Your still going full-force. We are still co-sleeping, but to be honest it’s getting to be exhausting. I look forward to you sleeping in a bed of your own. probably won’t happen though.

Your favorite toys are you new playhouse, your baby stroller, baby doll and necklaces. Pretty much anything that you can put around your neck turns into a necklace. You really love all the pretty ones that you have. It’s really cute.

New words: eyes (while poking out my eyes), ba for my boob, there are so many, your learning so much.

You wear size 18-24 months and still size 3-4 shoes. You still only have 4 teeth but I’m pretty sure you have some more coming through soon.

You hair is getting longer now, when its wet it goes down to the bottom of your neck. It’s also got a lot of wave to it. Since you’ve been in the sun a lot lately it’s lightened up and gotten a red high-light to it. It reminds me a lot of my natural hair color.

YOu recently lost your big toenail on your left foot. You dropped a can on it, OUCH!

You still eat almost anything. You have no allergies so far that we are aware of ; )

You love your doggies and cats, you really love feeding them.

Your daddy and I took you to the zoo for the first time this last Friday. Your favorite things were the monkeys and the petting area part. It was pretty cute watching you feed the sheep.

You have developed quit the attitude lately. You scream and growl at the same time when you get really mad. I am pretty stern about not letting you get your way when you do that. On a funny note you growl pretty regularly just for fun.

YOu are hilarious when you walk around the house on your pretend phone having a conversation, anything and everything functions as a phone ; ) You also have this super cute “hi” every time you walk into a room and see someone. You’re an amazing little girl every day you are in my life I fall more in love and my heart is already overflowing…

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

You are going to be 1 years old on Saturday! It’s hard to swallow that my dear sweet baby girl is already 1. This year has been filled with its challenges but I have never loved until I had you. I’ve loved people but to love your child is something so different. I now understand God’s love for us. His ability to forgive and understand. How no matter how far we stray his love doesn’t fade. This is the love I have for you my sweet girl. You are amazing and perfect. Your sweet smile and warm hugs are really the most perfect part of my life. The joy and happiness that you give me, well there are no words to really express what its like to have you in my life. Its the happiest I have ever been. I know everything else in my life has gone to shambles but it’s really minimal when it comes to making sure that you are doing well. You give me strength that I didn’t know I had. I look through your eyes and see that I need to be the role model that I want you to be when your grown. I want to love a man who shares characteristics that I would want you to love. I need to be treated in a manner that I would only accept for you because what you see me accept you to will accept and I can’t have nothing but the best for my sweet girl. I will never be able to thank God enough for you. All I can do is teach you about him and show you how wonderful he is. I love you baby girl, thank you for all that you have taught me this year! I look forward to a lifetime with you!

About your Party:
